Dana Prieto has been dancing since the age of 5 and has pursued that passion into her professional life. She has studied Jazz, Tap, and Pointe, but primarily concentrates on Ballet and Modern dance. She has been teaching dance classes for students of all ages for the past 13 years. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance from Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University and received a Masters in higher education from Boston College. She was worked professionally for various modern dance companies in the NJ and NYC area and has performed pieces by Trisha Brown, Bill T. Jones, Julia Ritter, Randy James, and John Evans. Dana is currently an academic advisor at Parsons The New School for Design and works with college students in the visual and artistic design field. She is also currently working on earning a certificate in Dance Therapy at the New School.
