Class Description: Our Introduction to Musical Theater class offers students the opportunity to expand their imagination and explore exercises through acting games and improvisation. Students begin with a warm-up from head to toe, and continuing with the basic jazz movements often used in musicals to prepare them for any movement auditions. Students will have a short vocal warm-up and then learn how to act through the scene and into song smoothly, connecting the song with the scene. Students use scenes from current and classical Broadway shows such as “Peter Pan,” “High School Musical,” and “School of Rock,” to name a few.
Dress Code: Comfortable clothing (leggings, t-shirt, etc.)
