Jolene Perry

Ms. Perry has trained with some of New York’s best and brightest masters – including Luigi, Bill Hastings, Tony Stevens, and the Paul Taylor and Martha Graham Schools. Ms. Perry has performed in several modern companies, including Principal Dancer with the Alaska Contemporary Company and the Center Dance Ensemble in Phoenix, Arizona. She has toured extensively both nationally and internationally in Musical Theater and in Modern Companies, in such shows as WEST SIDE STORY, OKLAHOMA, THE ROBBER BRIDEGROOM, PIPPIN, and FUNNY GIRL, to name a few. Ms. Perry’s teaching credits include Broadway Dance Center, Manhattan Dance Theater, and Studio Maestro in New York City, and the Conservatory of Dance in Anchorage, Alaska. She has also taught master workshops in Jazz and Tap throughout California.

Jennifer studied classical ballet in her native Phoenix, AZ, primarily with Paul Koverman at Phoenix School of Ballet. Thereafter, she attended intensive studies with Pacific Northwest Ballet in Seattle, WA. With a love also for music, jazz and tap, she headed to NYC to pursue a career in musical theater. Favorite shows include "Crazy For You", "A Funny Thing...Forum", and "Funny Girl", among others. Highlights also include performing aside Chita Rivera in the first annual "Latin Rhythms", Carnegie Hall's "My Favorite Broadway - The Leading Ladies", and especially dancing on the Great Stage as a Radio City Rockette. To date, her favorite role is as mommy! Jennifer also has added photography to her artistic palette, specializing in dance photography. She is proud to be on faculty at Progressive Dance Studio.

Serena Cefalu

Serena has been on faculty with PDS for 7 years. She has a strong technical backgroud in Ballet, Jazz (including Luigi Technique), Tap and Musical Theater. A graduate of the Musical Theater program at the American Musical & Dramatic Academy in NYC, she brings with her a wealth of knowledge about performing in multiple styles of the dance art form. She continues to produce award winning solo and group choreography. Her professional credits include: Hairspray (Tracy Turnblad), The Tap Dancing Christmas Trees, American Gospel Music Awards (featured dancer), Suessical the Musical (Gertrude McFuzz), Evolution of Dance, All That Jazz, and has participated in the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Parade (2001, 2007).
